BOSTON, Feb. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Rapid Response Emergency Glass (RREG) founders Dennis DiGiovanni and Jay F. Theise today announced that their Boston-based business has rebranded as Auto Glass Logistics (AGL). This move will more closely align the company's services with the needs of consumers, insurers, and auto clubs. At the time of launch, AGL's referral network has grown to approximately 9,000 independent service providers across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
This rebranding is a key part of the company's transformation into a single-source hub for one the industry's most effective administrative operations. The strategic service enhancements AGL now offers are timely, and consistent with emerging trends in the industry. Consumers will benefit from a range of solutions for their auto glass repair and replacement needs. Insurers and auto clubs will appreciate AGL's industry-leading auditing, coverage verification, invoice management and dispatch operations.
AGL has no ownership interest in any installer, product manufacturer, or wholesale/retail source of supply; ensuring total freedom of choice within AGL's proven Service Provider (SP) network. AGL's independence is significant, as more and more state legislatures are now focusing on consumer auto glass claims conflicts of interest, anti-competition, and anti-steering laws.
In his announcement today, Auto Glass Logistics (AGL) Co-Founder and Chairman Jay F. Theise said, "No one has felt the impact of claims steering and the increasing absence of competition in the auto glass industry more than insurers and consumers. AGL's business model and market entry are designed to increase competition and provide independent service choices."
"Consumers and insurers want to know that when an auto glass incident occurs, the company they call for a solution will present them with choices, enabling them to make the best decision," said President Dennis DiGiovanni. "AGL provides that freedom of choice, and much more."
