Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show to Lead The Way for Global Textile Market

Hosting 383 exhibitors from 11 countries and areas namely Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Czech, the U.S, Japan, South Korea, India, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China, Taiwan's most influential textile trade fair, 2017 Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (TITAS), held by Taiwan Textile Federation and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), is taking place at Hall 1, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center on October 16th through October 18th.

With the themes of “Smart Textile,” “Eco-friendly,” and “Function Application”, TITAS will again amaze global buyers through showcasing innovative high-tech textile products. In addition, the exhibition host will arrange over 1000 one-on-one procurement meetings, which are expected to inject great business potential to the trade show.

With cutting-edge technology know-how, and the aim to build a solid ground in the smart manufacturing market, Taiwan's exhibitors have successfully developed many innovative smart products including smart clothes and intelligent wearable devices that allow users to be aware of their health conditions like heart-beat rate and blood pressure at all time. It is estimated that these smart products with incredible functions will once again blow visitors mind.

As environmental consciousness increasingly becomes a global trend, more and more companies consent to adopt eco-friendly manufacturing procedures like zero-toxic emission system, to gain customers recognitions and a nicer corporate image; with no exception, Taiwan's textile manufacturers have been dedicated to developing sustainable eco-friendly textile products through using non-fluoride material for textile product R&D.

According to the U.S based global market research institute, the sales volume of 2017 innovative high-tech functional textile products has reached 34 million tons, and is seeing a sales volume of 57 million tons in 2027. Also notable is that, with a sales turnout of US$ 12billion last year, global market demand for medical and sport functional textile goods are rapidly growing. Taiwan's textile firms, with earlier mentioned R&D capability and high-quality products, are very likely to ride the boom, benefitting from the trend.

This year's TITAS hosts several heavy-weight exhibitors like Far Eastern New Centuries, a Taiwanese leading polyester and textile firm; Lealea Group, a well-known firm of the textile field; Polygiene, a multinational text firm located in Sweden; Green Theme International, a well-reputed company producing fine quality fibers and many others.

Noteworthily, this show has attracted overseas buyers from several famous companies such as Coach, Ralph Lauren, Perry Ellis and others, attending the internal major event in the field.
