Canada-based Color Ad Packaging has placed an order with Windmoeller & Hoelscher (W&H) and its subsidiary, Garant Machinenhandel, for a HELIOSTAR gravure press, a MIRAFLEX flexographic press and three TRIUMPH bag machines.
The new printing presses and bag making equipment are expected to improve Color Ad's existing line-up of machinery.
Color Ad Packaging president and CEO Chip Batten said the decision to work with W&H as the primary supplier for its new equipment came at the conclusion of a six-month process.
"By providing our staff with state-of-the-art machinery, we enhance their ability to produce the absolute best print and flexible packaging products for our customers," Batten said.
Preparations are in progress for installation of the MIRAFLEX CM 10 , which is equipped with EASY COL color matching system, TURBOCLEAN automatic wash-up system and the new EAST SET HD for impression setting and 3D plate topography.
The HELIOSTAR SL 10 with a 48" working width will be installed in fall 2013. Three new TRIUMPH bag formers will also be installed, which are used in the production of a variety of square bottom bags.
Color Ad Packaging serves confectionery, snack food and beverage markets primarily and produces pre-formed bags.
