Pegasystems has partnered with Vormetric to boost its cloud security following a number of hacking attacks on high profile websites.
There have been no attacks on Pegasystems, which is a provider of business process management (BPM) and customer relationship management (CRM) software, and the deal is seen as the best way to protect its users from a potential attack.
Growth in its Pegasystems' cloud has been 'significant' according to the business over the past few years and as a result managing key rotation processes was becoming 'unwieldy'.
As a result and to continue to grow the business needed to simplify its encryption approach with a scalable solution.
That solution was Vormetric a business which works in data security for clouds and other environments.
Vormetric is automating Pegasystems' data encryption within its Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider and is also able to increase the processing speed it can encrypt within the cloud infrastructure.
