The Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG), has joined forces with the Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (AINDT) and the Institute of Instrumentation, Control and Automation (IICA) to bring two new zones to the 2014 exhibition.
AOG, Australia's largest oil and gas event, has today launched the Non-destructive Testing and Condition Monitoring Zone and the Instrumentation, Control and Automation Zone to create a platform for members to connect with leaders and decision makers in the oil and gas industry from 19-21 February 2014. Each zone will also host a comprehensive free 3-day seminar program providing industry insights and trends.
AINDT President, Ian Hogarth said the Non-destructive Testing and Condition Monitoring Zone is targeted at highlighting the critical role that these fields play within the oil and gas industry.
"The AINDT zone and seminar program will be an unmissable feature of AOG 2014 for maintenance and quality assurance professionals," said Hogarth.
"AINDT's partnership with AOG gives our members the opportunity to showcase the high levels of service and advanced technology available in maintenance and damage assessment, life extension, and fitness for purpose assessment in the oil and gas industry."
IICA WA Branch Chairman, Ernst Krauss said AOG offered an excellent platform for members to showcase the latest process, control, instrumentation and automation innovations to oil and gas industry decision-makers, including the lucrative LNG sector.
"With more than $200 billion worth of LNG projects planned or already in construction in Australia, the LNG sector represents a huge opportunity for our members. Through the IICA zone at AOG 2014, our members will be able to connect with thousands of visitors and senior project and procurement managers at the helm of upcoming projects," said Krauss.
The new zones are one of many new features to be announced for AOG 2014, which will take place at Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 19-21 February. AOG 2014 has also teamed up with the Federal and Western Australian Governments to launch the Australian Industry Zone, a new initiative to showcase the country's oil and gas industry suppliers.
AOG brings together more than 500 exhibitors from across 20 countries, including the US, UK, China, Norway, Scotland, Singapore, Holland, Italy, France and Belgium. The exhibition has expanded to cater to these niche industry sectors and in 2014, for the first time, will occupy space on the second level of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
