Insurance brokerage firm AssuredPartners, through its Dawson Companies platform, has purchased MGA Property & Casualty Insurance Agency, the retail division of MGA Insurance, for an undisclosed amount.
Based in Sarasota, Florida, MGA Property & Casualty Insurance provides property and casualty services including workers' compensation, builder's risk insurance and surety bonding for businesses of all sizes; and personal insurance, including auto insurance, homeowners' insurance.
As per the deal, about six of the agency's employees will join AssuredPartners.
MGA Property & Casualty Insurance Agency CEO Lou Marinaccio said, "Joining AssuredPartners provides new and exciting opportunities for clients and staff alike.
"As part of AssuredPartners, our clients will now have access to more retail options to protect their businesses and families, while our staff will have access to great new resources and support tools."
Earlier this week, AssuredPartners has acquired all the assets of St. Louis-based AHM Financial insurance business.
