Dare Foods Has Been Helped by Packaging Company Sonoco to Unveil Its Flexible Bags

Canada-based food producers Dare Foods has been helped by packaging company Sonoco to unveil its flexible bags Boulangerie Grissol Artisanal Baguettes products to the US market.

Sonoco provided its help to Dare Foods to help them transition from the bag-in-box format to a flexible stand-up bag format which will enable the products to provide better shelf visibility to its products.

The company got its technical support from Sonoco in stages starting from the development and startup, expertise in materials and equipment runnability, graphics capability and speed to market.

The graphic team at Sonoco's worked with Dare Foods to give an improved look to the products including a black background and images of the product on the package.

Dare Foods brand manager Josh Richardson said, "We chose to work with Sonoco due to their technical expertise.

"We looked at other suppliers, but Sonoco already had the materials, structure and equipment expertise to help us launch the product quickly and correctly. We are very pleased with the outcome. The package provides a clean look on the shelf, meets required shelf life, keeps our product fresh, and is easy to open and reclose. I think our customers in the U.S. are going to be very pleased."

The company claimed that the products had received a positive feedback from both retailers and customers in the Canadian markets and was seeing strong sales. They stated that the improved premium look that make the products more attractive have made them popular among the retailers.
