According to the provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Exporters' Association (TIM), in April this year Turkey's steel exports totaled $1.25 billion in value, decreasing by six percent year on year and down 14.8 percent as compared to the previous month.
In April this year, Turkey's motor vehicle sector had the highest export value of the country's industrial sectors with $1.77 billion, up 8.6 percent year on year, while steel was the sector with the fourth highest export value.
On the other hand, in the first four months of this year Turkey's steel export value came to $5.1 billion, falling by 2.7 percent year on year.
