American Swan, an online fashion brand said it has made its products more accessible to customers by tying up with India Post Delivery Service to offer a wider reach to over 20,000 PIN codes across India.
According to CEO Anurag Rajpal, the tie-up with India Post, which has an unparalleled pan-India reach, will enable them to provide customers, easy access to its men’s and women’s apparel, accessories and footwear.
“With the size of the e-commerce industry set to grow at breakneck speed, getting India Post onboard as a shipping partner makes perfect sense,” Rajpal said in a press release.
“Our chief objective behind this initiative is to reach out to as many fashion enthusiasts as possible, across the country with our collection of youthful and affordable products,” he added.
American Swan is an international online fashion and lifestyle brand that combines urban American lifestyle with a quintessential youth-oriented fashion.
The brand offers an invigorating twist to the genre of preppy fashion, offering an authentic casual wear range to the youth who seek occasion-led collections.
India Post is the world’s largest postal service network and due to its expansive serviceable area the last mile delivery to Tier II and Tier III cities has now received a major boost.
Growing at 33 per cent, the e-commerce sector is expected to touch $76 billion by 2021 and the delivery/logistics sector constitutes approximately 12 per cent of this share.
Fueled by the surging ecommerce industry, the $50 billion Indian logistics sector saw a growth of about 80 per cent, making it the fifth-best performing major industry in India last year.
India Post is set to tap into this market as ecommerce firms seek out more customers and expand into smaller cities.
In recent times, American Swan has bagged awards in five diverse categories at the prestigious Asia Retail Congress 2014 being declared the ‘Retail launch site of the year'.
The fashion brand has also been adjudged as the emerging ‘E-Retailer of the Year’ at the recently held India Retail Congress Award 2014.
