The Jeep Wrangler Dragon has been unleashed in Australia, introducing a uniquely styled limited edition version of Jeep’s iconic off-road stalwart.
The new special edition Jeep Wrangler Dragon is based on thefour-door Wrangler Unlimited Overland configuration, and includes several specially designed exterior and interior tweaks.
Externally, the Wrangler Dragon comes with numerous bronze accents, seen on the car’s grille and headlight surrounds, Jeep badges, 18-inch wheels, and the fuel-filler door bolts. The hard spare wheel cover features a dragon graphic, as do the car’s bonnet and sides, all rendered in metallic charcoal paint.
Every Wrangler Dragon comes finished in black, “to provide maximum visual impact and contrast with the Dragon bronze highlights” according to Jeep.
Inside, the car’s black Nappa leather seats have contrasting bronze stitching, while its front seats also come with an embroidered, laser-etched pattern. Bronze details are also seen on the door grab handles, while the car’s air vents are finished in gloss piano black trim.
As well as the Dragon-specific features, the car also comes with satellite navigation and a rear-view camera. The car is powered by a 209kW/347Nm 3.6-litre V6 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The Wrangler has 223mm of ground clearance, a 35-degree approach angle, a 22-degree breakover angle and a 28-degree departure angle, all of which nod to the car’s off-roading credentials.
The car will be positioned at the top end of Jeep’s Wrangler line-up, priced at $51,000 before on-road costs and dealer delivery charges.
