JFE Holdings Will Postpone The Investment of Steel Mill in Vietnam

Reportedly, JFE Holdings will postpone the investment of steel mill in Vietnam which costs up to US$3.6 billion as it assesses competitive risks. Mr. Eiji Hayashida, the president of steel unit JFE Steel said that the firm needs more time investigating and making conclusion. Considering many mill projects building in China and Vietnam, JFE Steel have to make sure that they beat the competition. Moreover, the supply-demand relationship also a key factor to take into account. In the background, JFE is estimating the possibilities build integrated steelworks in Vietnam with Taiwan's E-United Group for steel sheets, which start operation in 2016.
