US-based automated packaging system manufacturer NJM Packaging has introduced its new bottle unscrambler at the Pack Expo.
The new UNISORT 32 bottle unscramble is claimed to be ideal for manufacturers of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products, food processors, and contract packers.
Featuring advanced design, the UNISORT 32 eases maintenance, improves ergonomics as well as changeover speed.
The unscrambler is made of stainless steel and orients and feeds round, rectangular or square plastic bottles measuring 1.5 to 7.5 inches in height and 0.75 to 4 inches in diameter.
Based on 100 cc bottles, it has a throughput of about 160 bottles per minute. The equipment also has a vertical elevator, which offers a compact footprint that is 105 inches long and 56 inches wide. It also has the infeed hopper meant for easy installation in tight production areas.
Unlike several unscramblers, which need the operator to clear bottles from the drawer before the next run, the new equipment comes with an automatic bottle evacuation at the exit belt. Hence, the tool-less changeover, which needs only one segmented change part, can be achieved within five minutes.
The company also offers packaging systems support to pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, beverage, chemicals, cosmetic and personal care product and contract manufacturers.
