Netherland-based Royal FrieslandCampina has completed the acquisition of IDB Belgium.
Although IDB Belgium will become a part of FrieslandCampina Cheese, Butter & Milkpowder, it will continue to operate independently.
It has one production facility and employs around 160 people. It comprises 15 packaging lines with variety of slicing and packaging forms and size options, from 15 grams to six kilograms.
The company is a pre-packer of hard and semi-hard cheeses and packs cheeses for various international clients. It also sells its products domestically and exports to 11 countries.
Royal FrieslandCampina is a multinational dairy company wholly owned by the dairy co-operative Zuivelcooperatie FrieslandCampina, which has 14,391 member dairy farms in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Its products are for sale in more than 100 countries.
