Takeaway Chicken Piri Piri Is Being Recalled by Morrisons

UK-based supermarket chain Morrisons is recalling its own band Takeaway Chicken Piri Piri as the product contains nuts, which is not listed in the allergy information box, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

FSA has issued an allergy alert and asked consumers who are allergic or intolerant of nuts not to eat this product, as it may lead to a severe reaction.

The product being recalled is Takeaway Chicken Piri Piri, 350g, with a use by 2 August 2012.

Morrisons is recalling all the affected stock. It will display customer notices in stores, explaining why the product is being recalled. In addition, the company will be contacting relevant allergy support organizations, which will explain to their members why the product is being recalled.

Consumers who have the product can return it the store for a full refund. No other Morrisons products are known to be affected.
