EU Production May Be Reorganized by Aperam If Acquiring Terni (AST)

It’s reported that Aperam may reorganize EU production if acquiring Terni (AST).

Aperam CEO, Philippe Darmayan, pointed out that the company shows high interesting in AST.

If it succeeds, it will create synergies with its current operations located mostly in northern Europe. As a result, the company is likely to close its small mills in Belgium.

Apream said that they are mainly interested in their sales network in Italian market and southern Europe.

The CEO said that the company might decide to concentrate some production at AST from northern Europe, but this will be established when the company prepares the business plan.
