Value Chain Professionals Can in 2013 Compete Globally Against Fellow Professionals

For the first time in Australia and New Zealand, value chain professionals can in 2013 compete globally against fellow professionals in a unique and innovative learning format.

The Fresh Connection Global Challenge is in 2013 offering an exciting learning format that blends face-to-face workshop-style learning with remote participation. Participants will simultaneously compete with fellow professionals in over 25 countries, from 200+ companies, all of whom have the task to save the fictitious company, The Fresh Connection, from financial ruin!

The Fresh Connection is a manufacturing business selling to retailers and end consumers. In the challenge, a team of four takes over operations, purchasing, supply chain and sales. Teams compete to improve the company’s performance by taking a series of critical decisions. An innovative simulated business environment provides real life experiences, lots of data and KPIs and changing business dynamics, with decisions to be made in all departments.

The objective is to maximise the return on investment.

Participants will compete globally whilst also locally via an Australian and New Zealand pool within the challenge. To decide the pool winner, the leading 20 teams will at Smart Conference on 26 June 26 participate in the local final to determine which one is Australia & New Zealand’s best value chain team.

The winners’ prize is a trip for the four members of the winning team to Istanbul, Turkey for the Global Final of TFC on 20 September 2013.

The Global winner in Istanbul will then win an executive course from MIT, Boston, USA.
