H.B. Fuller has introduced a new adhesive solution that will promise manufacturers 20% volume savings on typical applications.
The new Advantra 8790 adhesive has been designed to cater to customers' requirements for high-performance adhesives that would help manufacturers to achieve growth in sustainable packaging business, the company said.
This adhesive can be used to seal more packages with less adhesive, while ensuring good adhesion and fiber tear on a wide range of substrates.
With an ability to run on temperatures ranging from -40°F to 160°F, Advantra 8790 enables less downtime, lower maintenance costs, cleaner running, and lower wear and tear on machinery.
H.B. Fuller packaging solutions vice president Brad Zechman said: "Advantra 8790 enables our team to apply their process knowledge to deliver best-in-class operational excellence and groundbreaking process cost control.
"At H.B. Fuller, our goal is to bring the best solutions and services to our customers and provide support through an expert team. Our proven service model provides dedicated resources, industry-leading training programs, reporting and tracking of savings delivered, and rigorous process audits and packaging line optimization to help better serve our customers."
The launch is in line with the company's continued investment to meet market demands for more efficient and environmentally friendly packaging.
In May, H.B. Fuller introduced two new flexible packaging adhesives Flextra Fast and Flextra Reseal.
This year, the company acquired Tonsan Adhesive and Continental Products.
H.B. Fuller's adhesive solutions are used in various packaging applications such as container labeling, case and carton sealing, retail ready packaging and flexible packaging.
