US-based Illinois Tool Works Group’s subsidiary ITW has announced its consent to acquire German packaging company The Meurer Group.
Competition authorities are yet to approve the deal.
The German company, which will retain its company name, would be integrated into ITW's Global Packaging Solutions division.
Meurer, which serves customers in the beverages, food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, develops, produces and sells packaging machines used in secondary packaging.
The machines portfolio also includes storage systems, conveyors and palletizing equipment.
