Kraussmaffei Berstorff Sees Growth for Newly Designed Extruder Models

Extrusion technology provider KraussMaffei Berstorff says that its newly designed extruder models for pelletizing are bagging orders worldwide in both PVC and PO segments.

The company claims to be registering significant growth in orders for providing customized solutions for all pelletizing needs.

When it comes to PVC pelletizing, KraussMaffei Berstorff says that its revised machine series with 32 L/D processing length is having high demand. The PVC pelletizing machine was launched for the K 2016 fair in Düsseldorf, Germany.

KraussMaffei Berstorff says that for PO pelletizing, the 36D single-screw series machine has been counted upon by customers for its reliable performance.

KraussMaffei Berstorff profiles and pelletizing product manager Eric Sanson said that the company has systemically adapted the pelletizing machines to the present market requirements in terms of output.

The extrusion technology provider revealed that a Tunis-based cable manufacturer Tunisie Cables has gone in with its pelletizing equipment to address its special requirements.

Tunisie Cables purchasing manager Fakhreddine Bousnina said: “We granulate our material using flexible PVC formulations for the different applications in cable manufacturing, such as the insulating layers, sheathing and also filling material.

“The parallel twin-screw extruders of the 32D series feature a screw concept and fulfill these exact requirements for an extremely flexible application.”

The integrated plant comprising the KMD 133-32/G-W as its main highlight according to KraussMaffei Berstorff will move into operation at the Grombalia production facility by the year end.

Among other orders secured by KraussMaffei Berstorff includes the two KME 150-36 B sought by the Brazil-based Fortlev, a producer of plastic tank and cistern systems.
