Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury has designed a new set of lids for Bute Island Foods’ new range of dairy free cheese.
Clondalkin produces different types of lids for the for the dairy, food and beverage sectors.
The firm manufactures flexo-printed polyester, aluminium foil and laminate lids. It also produces lids in gravure printing.
The lids can be used for a range of packaging applications, including cream, yogurt and ice cream, beverages, snacks, butter and margarine.
Bute Island Foods produces and supplies vegan and dairy free cheese products. Its Sheese products are available in Europe, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Asia and South Africa.
Bute Island Foods director Guy Crichton said: "The unusual shape of the packaging caused some challenges for us on the filling line. Not knowing whether this was machine or packaging related we called on Bury's expertise.
“They had no hesitation in making the journey across to us on the Isle of Bute to provide us with technical assistance and resolved the issue for us promptly."
Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury technical manager Paul Whelan said: "Our job isn't complete until the lids are securely on the customer's pot or container and if that requires additional technical support from us than we are always on hand to offer advice, no matter where a customer is located."
