Essar Steel of Minnesota got some help from the Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation Board Thursday, when the board voted to extend the deadline for payment of USD 6.7 million in a loan and interest from December 31, 2012, to October 1, 2012.
Mr Steve Rutherford of Essar Steel also told the board that the company is in serious discussions with another company about coming to the area to produce value-added iron. A complete report will be on this website later tonight and in Friday’s MDN.
