Clinical research software and services provider Nextrials will showcase its clinical trial management solution at the annual IHE North America Connectathon, which will be held from 28 January - 2 February 2013 at Hyatt Regency Chicago, US.
Prism is an electronic data capture (EDC) solution, which is designed to streamline the initiation and management of clinical trials.
During the Connectathon demonstration, Prism will facilitate live data streaming between multiple EHR vendors and data recipients and will test the profiles including Clinical Research Document, Drug Safety Content, Audit Trail and Node Authentication, Cross Enterprise User Assertion and Consistent Time.
Nextrials CEO and co-founder James Roger said the company consistently supports Connectathon in demonstrating how platforms utilized for clinical research can intersect with those used in the healthcare setting.
"Connectathon fosters collaboration between vendors, allowing us to achieve the greater goal of cementing new standards for better healthcare information exchanges," Roger added.
"By participating in real-world clinical scenarios, we can solve configuration issues -- and this ultimately benefits hospitals, caregivers, patients and clinical researchers."
The event, which is sponsored by Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE), is an important qualifier for the HIMSS13 Interoperability Showcase, which is being held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, US, from 3-7 March 2013, claims the company.
