Liberty Mutual Insurance’s Group Benefits business unit has launched new tools to support compliance efforts of producers and employers in relation to the Americans with Disability Act (ADA).
a guide and a manual has been published by Group Benefits to enable employers develop ADA-compliant programs and help brokers and producers' clients understand complex issue, respectively.
Liberty Mutual Group Benefits operation product management director Heather Luiz said, "ADA compliance affects every element of an employer's absence management programs and strategies, whether occupational or non-occupational. And non-compliance can be costly."
Additionally, the new employer and producer guides will help users to understand the Federal ADA regulations, identify compliance issues, communicate effectively with employees and train frontline supervisors and managers.
The guides will also help readers to document and track leaves across ADA and other disability programs as well as integrate a company's various disability, absence management and return-to-work programs.
