Urbanearthwear is an eco-fashion brand designing women's organic underwear. It has been founded by Sarah Streeter, designer of the organic underwear range, and it’s made ethically in Melbourne.
All products from Urbanearthwear are made in Melbourne by a manufacturer who also holds accreditation with Ethical Clothing Australia, which requires that all workers receive fair wages and work in decent conditions.
“Urbanearthwear is a socially responsible brand that cares about ethics as much as they do about sustainability. It is encouraging to see emerging young designers embracing ethics and sustainability as an essential part of their business”, says Simon Mc Rae, National Manager of Ethical Clothing Australia.
“I am really pleased Urbanearthwear is accredited with Ethical Clothing Australia” Sarah Streeter says. “By having this accreditation, customers recognise Urbanearthwear as an ethical brand and this is what I set out to achieve.”
“Ethical manufacturing and sustainable fashion is an integral part of Urbanearthwear. The accreditation strengthens our stance on sustainability and Urbanearthwear as a transparent and ethical brand,” she adds.
