Taiwan-based LED lead frame maker I-Chiun Precision Industry has reported March consolidated revenues of NT$557 million (US$18.5 million), showing an on-month increase of 29.69% and an on-year increase of 22.31%. The firm is optimistic about second-quarter performance and believes demand will rise.
I-Chiun entered the direct-lit LED TV lens and module business in 2012 and due to rising demand for direct-lit LED TVs, shipments for backlight modules and surface mount LEDs (SMDs) have both been increasing.
The accumulated consolidated revenues for the first quarter of 2013 were NT$1.497 billion, representing an on-year growth of 19.85% and an on-quarter decrease of 12.51%, according to the firm.
