Canada-based Flash Reproductions has installed Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1 inkjet press in Toronto, Ontario.
The new technology will provide flexibility, that will satisfy the requirements of creative agencies and graphic designers.
Flash Reproductions chose Konica Minolta’s AccurioJet KM-1 inkjet press to satisfy its clients with high quality, short-run work.
The new inkjet press will integrate the speed and flexibility of offset presses with the variable data printing’s digital advantages.
The AccurioJet KM-1 inkjet press will have the potential to print at a speed of 3000 pages per hour on a sheet of size 23” x 29.5”.
The new inkjet press, which has patented UV ink for post-press durability, does not require any pre coating and can print on 17 lb vellum up to 24 point stock weights.
The technology also has automatic perfecting/duplexing up to 18 point and prints on traditional offset/litho stocks, textured, synthetics, and canvas.
Flash Reproductions president Rich Pauptit said: “We’re obsessive about print processes and if there is a new way to print or even a new twist on an old process, we find it and research it. To put it simply, I believe the KM-1 will allow us to offer what everyone wants. The best quality, in the shortest time, at a budget conscious price.
“Our research and investigation has resulted in all the experts at Flash uniformly agreeing that this is the machine we have been waiting for. I truly think that we will look back at the install of this machine as the day that everything changed.”
