Canada-based privately owned company, Amjay Software Solutions has launched a new mobile pharmacy application for ordering prescriptions directly to their local pharmacy.
Integrated to the pharmacy operating software system at any store, the software application enables the pharmacist to trace the customer order online.
Features of the application include a complete review of the prescription profile, quick access to pictures, and information about the medication which is accessed throughout the world.
Amjay Software Solutions president Ajay Majithia said, "The application is now available for Android and Apple owners and once downloaded the patient can quickly and securely order their prescriptions online."
An automatic notification is received by the patient as soon as the prescription is completed.
The application was first offered by to customers in Canada by Larry Boggio, who is the owner of Boggio Family of Pharmacies in the Niagara Region.
Amjay Software plans to launch cloud-based text messaging and IVR solutions in the third quarter of 2013.
The company also has plans to connect all caregivers in the health network to enable doctors, nurses, and patients to communicate to each other using the web.
"It's kind of like facebook for healthcare," Majithia added.
