Ardagh Group has created a 33cl glass bottle for Luxembourg-based Bofferding Brewery’s beer brand.
The new bottle for Bofferding Pils with intricate full body engraving features the Bofferding 'B' and its weight has come down to 205g.
Bofferding marketing director Thierry Krombach said, "Consumer research showed that our customers would favour glass packaging for this particular range of beers, and the creation of a distinctive shape and styling has proved very successful in the market."
Ardagh's designers ensured that the manufacture of the bottle at the company's Bad Münder plant in Germany proceeded smoothly and to deadline.
Glass and metal products producer Ardagh operates 100 facilities across 25 countries.
