JFE Steel Take More Time to Evaluate The Integrated Steel Works Project in Vietnam

It is reported that Japanese JFE Steel announced to take more time to evaluate the integrated steel works project in central Vietnam. The project is based on the joint venture between JFE Steel and Taiwan’s E-United Group and two companied have signed a memorandum of understanding in March 2012. However, JFE Steel has first schedule to complete the investigation by end-December but it has postponed till end-March this year due to review infrastructure issues. The company expects to begin the operation in 2016 after to solve all problems. In addition, the company’s first project has designed an annual blast furnace production capacity to 3.5 million tons and annual hot strip production capacity to 2.5 million tons respectively.
