Subaru Canada has reported sales of 31,003 units in 2012 in the US with a 14.9%increase in the over-all sales in the country.
The Japanese automaker has registered sales of 2,814 units in December 2012 that inclined 12.9%compared to the corresponding month in 2011.
Subaru Canada president and CEO Shiro Ohta said that the year marked the introduction of groundbreaking models and technology at the company.
"These sales numbers reflect the fact that Canadians are responding to the safety and value inherent in the Subaru brand,"Shiro added.
"Under these tough market conditions,Subaru has proven itself to be a smart alternative to mainstream brands."
The introduction of new models including the Subaru BRZ and the XV Crosstrek with new technologies featuring EyeSight driver-assist system is considered as the reasons for the rise in sales,by the company.
