LG Innotek's Eagle Eye Outdoor module
LED producer LG Innotek has signed a worldwide distribution agreement with Future Lighting Solutions(FLS).
The deal will see FLS,a division of Future Electronics,sell LG Innotek's entire LED lighting portfolio from LED packages to integrated solutions.
Harry Kang,vice-president of the LED Business Division at LG Innotek said:"This agreement will significantly increase the availability of our products around the world."
He added:"By joining forces with FLS,we will be better able to equip lighting OEMs with the products and tools they need to put more LED-based lighting products on store shelves."
This announcement was made possible thanks to the restructure of FLS'distribution agreement with Philips Lumileds at the end of December.FLS restructured the Philips agreement,to allow FLS to distribute other suppliers'solid-state lighting product lines.The deal also gave Philips the chance to distribute and sell its LED products through additional partners in various regions.
