Axalta Coating Systems, a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, developed and launched a new Corshield alkyd system designed to provide resistance and lasting color for severe corrosive environments.
The new Corshield alkyd system is designed to reduce the impact of metal coating processes on the environment for chemical plants, refineries, pulp and paper plants, power plants and marine structures as well as other architectural applications.
“This launch strengthens our Corshield product line in Colombia and in the Latin America region to meet customer needs,” stated Ricardo Abisambra, Axalta’s General Manager in Colombia.
The launch included a new brand identity designed to facilitate the identification of Corshield technologies for the end user as an innovative color system.
Axalta’s Corshield products include anti-corrosive paints and coatings capable of protecting and preserving the mechanical and aesthetic integrity of industrial pipes and equipment.
