The first national foreign trade transformation and upgrade model bases verified by the Ministry of Commerce have become official, five domestic ceramics production areas:
Foshan building ceramics base in Guangdong Province, Chaozhou ceramics base in Guangdong Province, Liling ceramics base in Hunan Province, Tangshan sanitary ceramics base in Hebei Province, Dehua ceramics base in Fujian Province are on the list.
According to the responsible person from Foshan Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau, the ministries and commissions of the state will introduce relevant policies and measures in the near future, to support the bases on the list through R & D bases, testing agencies, information publishing platform, public display platform, meanwhile, relevant provincial and municipal departments will also be supporting the industry by introducing supplementary policies and setting up a special leading group for the model bases.
It is known that companies in Chaozhou are planning to participate in international fairs like Frankfurt Sanitary Ware Fair and Bologna Sanitary Ware Fair. According to public information, in 2011, Liling City, announced that it will build a ceramic industrial cluster with an output value of hundred billion Yuan, and it'll do all it can to achieve this goal within 6 to 8 years. By 2017, Liling City hopes to achieve an output value of 25 billion Yuan in electro ceramics, 15 billion Yuan in new ceramics, another 15 billion Yuan in domestic ceramics, and 5 billion in craft ceramics.
