PACK EXPO Will Celebrate Its 20th Year This September

PACK EXPO will celebrate its 20th year this September as it descends on the Las Vegas Convention Centre.

Show owner and producer PMMI expects visitor attendance to edge close to 30,000, with over 2000 exhibitors sharing their innovations.

The show's recent expansion included the Las Vegas debut of Pharma EXPO, jointly produced by PMMI and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE).

Organisers say the international flavour of the show has grown, with visitors from outside the US making up 19 per cent of the attendee base, up from 8.3 per cent in 1995.

One of this year's exhibitors will be Heat and Control, and sales manager Brian Barr looks forward to the networking opportunities PACK EXPO provides.

“As a full-service supplier, we need a full-service trade show where our customers can discuss a range of projects at a single location,” he says.

“PACK EXPO is that single source where we can communicate all our products and services to our customers.”

This year's show will include an Innovation Stage with free 30-minute educational sessions running concurrently throughout each day. Industry-specific lounges and specialised pavilions such as The Brand Zone will provide information on market niches, while the Food Safety Summit Resource Centre, sponsored by Rockwell Automation, will educate attendees on new technologies.

The Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) will also have a presence at the show, assisting companies looking to establish themselves in the Australian market.
