Turbosound loudspeakers are a key part of the ambience in Athens's luxury Catwalk Café-Bar. The bar, situated near the seafront in Greece's capital, invited local suppliers Metro Audio Systems to install a Turbosound system consisting of ten Impact 65T two-way loudspeakers and two TSB-110 sub-bass speakers.
"Catwalk Café-Bar features a warm, inviting, but timelessly classy atmosphere," comments Pavlos Symperas from Metro Audio Systems. "The bar is open day and night so the flexibility of the Turbosound speakers are an important part of this changing feel. They help to set the tone with their clear, high quality sound reproduction."
The biggest challenge for Metro Audio Systems was to deliver powerful quality sound, yet ensure that the system had an elegant and distinctive design. "We believed that the Impact series was the best fit for the project," continues Symperas. "The first thing we did was to invite the client from the Catwalk Café-Bar to our demo room where we introduced them to the Turbosound systems. They were astonished by both the sound quality and the aesthetic design of the speakers themselves, and on that basis the installation was commissioned almost immediately. The results are fantastic! It sounds exactly how we'd imagined it would."
Martin Reid of Turbosound continues, "The Impact 65T is a dual 5" two-way design providing a wide 100° x 70° dispersion pattern, making it easy to site and aim the loudspeakers in a stylishly designed setting such as Catwalk Café-Bar. It comes with its own fully adjustable two-part wall bracket with integral connectors, allowing the wall supports to be pre-installed and the speakers to be placed unobtrusively in a variety of positions throughout the venue. The TSB-110 bandpass subwoofer is loud and punchy while its small size makes it ideal for discrete positioning in small or awkward spaces - a real advantage in venues that need to optimise space."
