Teleflex Incorporated has introduced a new continuous peripheral nerve block catheter for clinicians who use ultrasound-guidance when placing nerve block catheters.
The echogenic, coil-reinforced catheter, Arrow FlexBlock, is made of polyurethane and its design offers a combination of ultrasound visibility, flexibility and excellent kink resistance.
The catheter's tip design is intended to provide clinicians with a predictable spread of anesthetic while performing surgical procedures.
Teleflex anesthesia and respiratory division president Cary Vance said, "The addition of the Arrow FlexBlock™ Catheter to our market-leading1 line of Arrow® StimuCath Continuous Peripheral Nerve Block Catheters will allow Teleflex to meet the needs of more anesthesiologists in the field of regional anesthesia and acute pain management."
The company said the FlexBlock Catheter will be available in various standard tray configurations and through its Arrow Select Kits custom kit program.
