Precision healthcare equipment company Thermo Fisher Scientific has launched its new single-use Thermo Scientific Aegis5-14 Film, which is suitable for the demanding cell culture and bioprocessing applications in drug development and biomanufacturing.
According to the US-based company, the new film has been tested by the company for use across a broad range of bioprocessing applications.
Thermo Fisher global director of marketing for cell culture and bioprocessing Brandon Pence said the new Aegis5-14 film has leachables and extractables profile and is designed for the challenging cell culture applications.
"Featuring our most advanced design, we will set new benchmarks for quality and performance and drive continued success in premium single-use bioprocessing applications for our customers," Pence said.
The film uses an Animal Derived Component Free formulation and has been engineered for use across the complete range of single-use technologies, including bioreactors, mixers and bioprocess containers.
