The Stainless Steel Production in Japan in April Increases by 8.3%

According to statistics, the stainless steel production of the seven major stainless producers in Japan totaled 303,511 tons in April, rising by 8.3% from 280,319 tons but falling by 9.3% from 334,632 tons in the same period of a year ago.

It’s known that Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless (NSSC) Hikari works’s output dropped as it planned maintenance in May.

Besides, Nippon Yakin’s Kawasaki Plant produced less output in April due to higher production in March.
