According to the statistics from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan’s output of hot rolled (HR) stainless steel products totaled 252,319 tons in this October, down by 1% from a month ago but rising by 4.1% year on year.
Among them, 121,430 tons were chrome-based stainless steel products; 128,323 tons were nickel-based stainless steel products.
Meanwhile, the stainless steel product stocks owned by the Japanese stainless steel producers totaled 130,973 tons at the end of October, rising by 6.2% from a month ago.
