US-based independent testing laboratory Westpak has opened a newly expanded 2,200ft3 temperature and humidity controlled room for medical device package validation preconditioning.
The room is facilitated to maintain temperature and humidity at 23°C and 50% relative humidity for as long as possible.
The expanded capacity offers customers with better means to comply with medical device package validation preconditioning commonly required per ASTM D4169, ASTM F1980 and ISO 11607.
Westpak Engineering director Aaron Suarez said, "We are offering our customers the ability to cost-effectively perform Conditioning, Real Time and Accelerated Aging that will reduce development lead time and shorten product time-to-market."
The laboratory specializes in product reliability, distribution, packaging and related custom testing services for pharmaceutical, medical device, solar, technology and other industries.
