Eucatex Will in Future Market Not Only Its Own Laminate Flooring in Brazil

The Brazilian company Eucatex will in future market not only its own laminate flooring in Brazil, but also vinyl flooring from the Tajima Group. As announced by the company on 12 December, three product lines will initially be introduced in Brazil under the name "Eucatex Vinyl Flooring". Tajima boasts a total of five production sites and produces roughly 10m m² of vinyl flooring per year. Current plans foresee a sales volume of Eucatex in Brazil of roughly 2m m²/year by the end of 2013. The company estimates current total sales of vinyl flooring in Brazil at roughly 7m m² per year. Against the backdrop of fast-growing demand in Brazil as a result of the 2012 Football World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games, Eucatex CEO Flávio Maluf reckons that efforts will be made to conclude similar cooperative deals for doors and paint.
