Tech Packaging Announced to Invest More Than 12.4m in a Bid to Expand and Equip Facility

Recently, the company purchased 32 acres of land in the Humboldt Industrial Park in Hazle Township in this regard.

Tech Packaging president Bob Janes said the Hazelton facility demonstrates the company's ongoing proposal to improve.

"This facility is a milestone in our long-term initiatives to maintain our position as a leader in our industry. We are excited to be able to contribute to the Hazelton economy and the community," Janes added.

As an incentive the company received a funding offer from the Department of Community and Economic Development including a $250,000 Pennsylvania First Program grant as well as a $42,750 Guaranteed Free Training grant.

The project was coordinated by the Governor's Action Team in partnership with a non-profit industrial/economic development corporation CAN DO, which serves the Greater Hazleton area.

Tech Packaging serves customers in the food industry and prepares multi-packing of variety packs and pallet displays, variety packs of fruit drinks, pet food and potato chips.
