This year’s Clerkenwell Design Week 2013 was an exciting visit that Après couldn’t miss. We explored through The Farmiloe Building and some other prominent furniture show-rooms around, met with many friends and partners and had the happy surprise of meeting some new designers and see new products and ideas. We also took a lot of photos that we want to share.In its fourth year, Clerkenwell Design Week aimed to showcase the very best in design, from furniture and interiors to lighting and materials. As with other furniture fairs we attended this year, we noticed an accent on acoustics. Most of our manufacturing partners have their attention on the workplace habitat and best ways of creating a co-working space.
Each spring, design, architecture and a lot of creativity gather in the heart of London for a week of exhibitions, massive showrooms and exciting debates. The stalls included everything from soft furnishings, furniture – tables, storage and many, many types of chairs - lighting, creative-looking office screens and partitions, pop-up shops and displays. Not very different from last year, but still an energic show to see.
If you didn’t have the chance to see Clerkenwell Design Week this week, make sure you’ll be there next spring. You won’t regret it!
