Benzene Prices Increased in The Last Week,Due to Robust Support From The Downstream Market

In Korea, benzene prices increased in the last week, due to robust support from the downstream market. In the early days of the last week, prices were slightly lower as compared to the same period of the previous week but went up in the second half of the last week and were assessed in the range of US$ 1235-1250/ton FOB Korea.

In Japan, Benzene prices showed similar trend as Korea. Speculators assessed the spot prices higher by 2% as compared to the previous week. In India, Benzene prices went up as well and showed similar percentage increase as in Japan.

In Europe, prices were spotted in the range of US$ 1270-1305/ton FOB Rotterdam. Initial contract prices for October were settled at US$ 1285/ton FOB NWE slightly down as compared to the contract prices of the last month.
