Chinese LED manufacturer Ledman announced it will be acquiring Infront Sports and Media for EUR 25 million (US $27.35 million) on Thursday.
The main purpose of this investment is to strengthen Ledman’s participation in international sports market, and partnership with international sports associations, said Mantie Li, Chairman of Ledman. Ledman will build upon Infront Sports and Media soccer media’s services and experiences through this strategic agreement.

Real estate conglomerate in China, Wanda Group, signed an agreement to acquire 100% of Infront Sports and Media shares on Feb. 10, 2015. The Swiss media company is one of the world’s second largest sports marketing company, and globally the biggest sports media production and broadcasting company. In terms of Infront Sports and Media sales, its current services integrates selling media broadcast rights, TV signals, TV show production, race management, brand promotions, and sponsor services. The company is a comprehensively integrated online entertainment service. The company’s managed sports events has exceed 4,000 days, and on average the company broadcasts more than 10 sports events from 25 sports categories per day, including 20 world tournaments. The company is the top global broadcaster for soccer, and winter sports events.
Infront Sports and Media group has cooperated with many soccer associations including FIFA, and national level soccer associations such as DFB in Germany, and Italy’s FIGC. Other sports cooperation include football leagues, such as Lega Serie A in Italy and soccer club level competitions including A.C. Milan. Business operations spans over 25 sports categories, and the group is sponsored by several hundred global companies across the globe. The media group has long term partnerships with traditional media and 160 sports rights groups.
