It’s reported that the Japanese steelmakers are mulling to raise tinplate export prices by US$50/ton to Asian buyers for the first quarter of 2014.

However, the Asian buyers can only accept the price rise of US$30/ton.

Furthermore, industry sources predicted that the tinplate transaction prices will rise again in the second quarter of 2014 due to peak season.

Besides, the Japanese steelmakers hiked tinplate export prices successfully by US$50/ton to the Middle-East buyers for the fourth quarter of this year.
