Kids Inspire New Toys for Lottie Dolls

The toy firm is making an official commitment to develop new toys that have been inspired by children through a series of monthly competitions.

Children will play a fundamental role in the inspiration of all Lottie Dolls products in the future, through the firm’s monthly design competitions.

Lottie Dolls is encouraging all independent retailers to take part in the Inspired by Real Kids monthly competitions in-store, to help kids create what they want to play with.

So far, eight Lottie toys have been inspired by kids with an additional three in development.

“Since launching our first product that was inspired by a real child four years ago we’ve been blown away by how perceptive, imaginative and assertive children are today – they are incredible,” said Ian Harkin, MD of Lottie Dolls.

“The girls who have inspired Lottie dolls empower and support one another and their peers, and it’s been inspiring following their adventures and achievements. This sparked our commitment to having all products inspired by real kids.

“2017 is working out to be a very exciting year for us, for the first time we now have a full range with play-sets, dolls, buildings, outfits and books to cover all buying scenarios from birthdays to gifts and Christmas day.”

The September competition will search for Lottie’s Hidden Figure, where young ones will be invited to design an inspiring person who they feel should be celebrated.
