The days are long, lazy and carefree, as spring and summer meld into one and its all sunshine and laughter. Our children while away the mornings and afternoons, engrossed in games, and basking in their freedom. It is this carefree, joyful spirit that has inspired Nee & Oink's Spring Summer 2013 collection, which is fun, stylish and full of frolic and mirth.
The Nee & Oink collection is an explosion of colors this summer. The palette takes its roots in radiant flowers, the cheerful flavors of gelato, who promises nothing but fun. Further inspiration was drawn from the warm glow of the shining yellow sun, the fresh cut grass and trees of the green gardens, the depth and majesty of the blue sea and the plumes of bright birds of summer.
Neelakshi (Nee) Ray and Oiendrila (Oink) Ray have combined hand-picked organic fabrics and eco-friendly dyes, with 100% cotton, 100% cotton mal mal and 100% cotton khadi. They capture the magic and fantasy of childhood, and serve it up with comfort, promising your child a playful, joyful summer.
Nee & Oink's Spring Summer 2013 launches with 2 distinct collections – Flower girls and Birds of a feather
Flower Girls:
This line was inspired by the gorgeously vibrant hues of summer blooms in the happy chaos of early morning markets. The dresses are flowy and soft, and come in raspberry, lime, sunshine yellow, cornflower blue and tangerine. Made with 100%cotton mal mal, this pretty little line exudes a cheerful energy.
Birds of a Feather:
Flock together in joyful and animated mirth. Inspired by the arrival of the colorful immigrants of spring, this line evokes a lively and chipper state of mind. Structured dresses are covered in playful detailing of embroidered vines with bird-embellished buttons, scattered in calculated carelessness. The colors were inspired by the feathers of the summer birds – lavender, sage green, canary yellow, grapefruit pink and powder blue. Made with a 100% cotton khadi, this perky line flies high!
