Beverage can manufacturer Ball Packaging Europe will introduce its wine can with the 'Protected Quality' mark at the international trade fair for wines and spirits, ProWein taking place from 24 to 26 March 2013 in Düsseldorf.
According to the company, the cans, which have an increased internal coating and a thicker wall, are sealed with their own lid.
The 'Protected Quality' mark is said to serve as a guarantee for the quality of the wine, with a shelf life of at least one year. The can is suitable for all wines such as red, white, still or sparkling.
Ball can keeps light as well as oxygen away from the contents and offers better protection of delicate beverages such as wine against external influences that are deleterious.
The single serve cans are easy to stack and transport, the company said.
