Reportedly, Czech-based ArcelorMittal Ostrava has announced to launch new tube production line with polypropylene coating process in Ostrava of the Czech Republic.
The new products are expected to supply for transportation of drinking water, oil and gas and it will also be able to meet of working temperatures ranging from minus 20 to plus 110 centigrade.
In the meantime, the new three-layer polypropylene coating protects steel seamless or welded tubes against corrosion and can prevent mechanical, thermal or chemical damage during transport, storage or installation of tubes according to the company said.
Currently, the company’s annual tube production capacity is about 320,000 tons.
